Il nostro moto club nasce come un gruppo motociclistico.
Nel 2008, infatti, un gruppo di soci dell'Aero Club Como, uniti dalla passione per il volo e le motociclette, decisero di formare un gruppo motociclistico con lo scopo di aggregare coloro che oltre agli aeroplani amavano anche le due ruote ed insieme poter fare dei giri domenicali in moto.
Inizialmente il nome del gruppo era " Motociclisti Volanti". A molti però il nome sembrava di malaugurio. Si decise di tradurlo in Inglese ed aggiungere anche il nome "Como", in onore della città che ci accoglie. Da qui Flying Riders Como. Riders e non Bikers perchè il nostro club è aperto a tutti, dagli scooter ai sidercar, e il termine bikers sarebbe stato restrittivo.
Questo gruppo è andato in crescendo durante il corso degli anni così come il numero di appassionati che vollero entrarvi.
Visto il successo del gruppo, alla fine del 2012, si prese la decisione di concretizzare l'unione dei membri del gruppo costituendo un vero e proprio Moto Club ed affiliarlo alla Federazione Motociclistica Italiana.
Il giorno 28 Febbraio 2013, con l'assemblea costitutiva dei Soci Fondatori, prese vita il Moto Club Flying Riders Como asd.
A Marzo 2013, dopo essere stato ufficialmente registrato come Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica, il Club divenne anche affiliato alla FMI.
Il tragitto era stato percorso ed il nostro Moto Club muoveva i suoi primi passi in un nuovo mondo.
Chiunque vuole unirsi a noi è il benvenuto, qualunque tipo di due ruote possegga.
History
Our motorcycle club began as a motorcycle group.
In 2008, in fact, a group of members of the Aero Club Como, united by their passion for flying and motorcycles, decided to form a motorcycle group with the aim to aggregate those who also loved airplanes in addition to the two wheels together and be able to do the trips during week end.
Initially the name of the group was "Motociclisti Volanti". To many, however, the name seemed ominous. It was decided to translate it into English and add the name "Como", in honor of the city that welcomes us. From here Flying Riders Como. Riders and not Bikers because our club is open to everyone, from scooters to sidercar, and the term bikers would be restrictive.
This group went on growing over the years as well as the number of fans who wanted to enter.
Given the success of the group, at the end of 2012, few persons took the decision to realize the union of the members of the group constituting a real Motorcycle Club, joining the FMI.
February 28, 2013, with the founding assembly of the Founders, took the life Motorcycle Club Flying Riders Como asd.
In March, 2013, after being officially registered as ASD, the Club also became affiliated to the FMI.
The path was done and our Motorcycle Club moved its first steps into a new world.
